Where "DMCA-ignored" stopped being a slogan
Chisinau is where VPSRento started in March 2021, and Moldova remains the reference implementation of DMCA-ignored hosting. Moldova's Law No. 139 on copyright exists on paper, but enforcement runs through Moldovan courts — which do not recognize foreign default judgments and do not operate a notice-and-takedown conveyor belt. There is no Moldovan DMCA equivalent, no retention mandate for hosting providers, and no local legal culture of doing foreign rights-holders' paperwork for them.
Five years in, this location carries our longest track record: thousands of servers deployed, a documented history of bulk DMCA campaigns arriving by the pallet and leaving unanswered, and an abuse desk that knows precisely which claims deserve a reply. The list is short: valid court orders issued in Moldova. Nothing else has ever made it past the intake filter.

Yes. The first VPSRento node went live in Chisinau in March 2021, after the team's previous host folded under a bulk DMCA request. The location has run continuously since — it carries our longest uptime history, our oldest customer workloads, and the abuse desk's deepest file of ignored complaints.
A US DMCA notice has no legal standing in Moldova, and we do not relay foreign civil notices to customers. Copyright claims require a valid Moldovan court order before we forward, suspend, or touch anything. Five years of operation, and that bar has never been met by an automated complaint mill.
Latency. US West (~178 ms) and Asia-Pacific (~197 ms) routes are average. If most of your users are in Western Europe, Bucharest or Amsterdam are faster; if they are in North America, consider Panama. For everything else, this is the default answer.
